Girls’ Baseball Day – May 26th
The Kanata Baseball Association (KBA) is hosting a Girls’ Baseball Day on Saturday, May 26th. The event will be held at the Kanata Recreation Centre with the Scott Tokessy field being the central location. Map.
If there is rain then we will be nextdoor at the Sensplex fieldhouse.
This FREE event is open to all girls aged 4-18! Whether you are already playing baseball or you just want to come out and learn more about the sport, this event is for you! All you need is a glove! (if you have a batting helmet, bring that too, but not mandatory).
The Girls’ Baseball Day will feature a clinic, led by Hannah Martensen, former member of the Ontario Women's Provincial team and the Canadian Women's National Baseball team, as well as an exhibition game between two local Rookie aged all girls teams.
Where: Scott Tokessy Field (Maple Grove Road, Kanata)
When: Saturday, May 26th, from 12:00-3:00
12:00 – Registration and welcome
12:10-2:00 – Baseball Clinic with Hannah Martensen (fielding, throwing, hitting)
1:30-3:00 – Exhibition game between Kanata and Ottawa West all girls Rookie teams

Kanata Baseball saw a substantial increase in the number girls registered this year. Next year, we want to see the numbers grow even further, not only in Kanata, but across the region! Offering events such as this is part of our commitment to realizing that goal.
